High Springs PD Arrests Man for Domestic Battery by Strangulation

William J. Jones, 47, was arrested Thursday night and charged with domestic battery by strangulation. 

Jones and the victim were in a verbal argument while driving when Jones grabbed her by the throat and impeded her breathing. 

Jones left bruises on the victim’s neck.

High Springs Police Department Officer Sarah Allen reported that Jones admitted to grabbing the victim by the throat because they were arguing. 

Jones has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney’s Office.
