Hurricane Milton Evacuee Arrested for Punching Partner at Newberry Marathon Gas Station

Kevin Alexander Kulow, 34, was arrested on Thursday and charged with domestic battery.

The arrest report states Kulow and the victim were evacuating from Tampa due to Hurricane Milton.

Kulow was reportedly arguing with the victim about money at a Marathon gas station in Newberry when he punched her in the face.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy James Adler responded and questioned Kulow. Kulow accused the victim of attempting to choke him and said he "may have struck her in the process" of shoving her.

Kulow’s account of events was inconsistent with the victim’s injuries. 

Kulow’s bond is set at $2,500.
