Dustin Michael Stephens, 30, was arrested on April 2 and charged with domestic battery.

Stephens and the victim traveled to Gainesville from Lake County and were staying in an Airbnb.

The victim told police that she tried to separate herself from Stephens during an argument, and he grabbed her by her upper arms and pushed her. The victim entered her truck, attempting to drive away, and Stephens reportedly held onto the truck and punched the driver’s side window.

Stephens reportedly cracked the glass of the truck window but he was not charged with property damage.

Stephens was located at a motel in High Springs by Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies shortly after the incident.

Stephens was released after posting a $10,000 bond. He’s been ordered to not contact the victim, not consume drugs and alcohol, and not possess any weapons.
