Man Arrested After Hitting Woman with Grease

Bennie Williams, 50, was arrested on Thursday and charged with domestic battery.

Williams reportedly threw cold cooking grease at the victim over an argument about chicken wings. 

Williams told police he didn’t mean to hit the victim and said he slammed the grease on the table and it went everywhere, hitting the victim.

Gainesville Police Department Officer Gregory Meshes reported that grease “was all over the stove, floor, walls, ceiling, and the room adjacent to the kitchen and all over the victim.” 

Williams' bond is set at $10,000.
