Brice Simeon Daniels, 25, was arrested on Monday and charged with felony battery, aggravated battery and stalking.

On February 15, Daniels broke into the victim's house, took one of her family member’s phones and called her.

The victim’s family members reported hearing Daniels saying he was going to “get his ‘pistol’ and return.”

The victim’s family members said they didn’t see a gun on Daniels and that he didn’t threaten them.

Daniels fled the scene before the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) arrived.

GPD Officer Justin Snitselaar reported that Daniels called the victim while police were on the scene and said, “I’ve got something coming for you.”

The victim said she has been threatened by Daniels in previous incidents.

On February 17, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Amber Longdon responded to the Crossings at Santa Fe Apartments after receiving reports that Daniels was on a “rampage” and breaking things in the apartment.

Longdon entered the apartment to find a broken coffee table and several broken doors. Daniels denied anything happening.

The apartment tenant told police Daniels was involved in a physical altercation with the victim earlier and had been drinking all day.

The victim told police she was at the Crossings to get her ID card from Daniels. They reportedly got into an argument, and Daniels pulled her hair. The victim had a visible spot on her hair indicating it had been pulled.

Daniels is also being charged with probation violation. Last month he was found guilty of domestic battery and sentenced to a year of probation.

Daniels has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney’s Office.
