Jarrett Lee Wilson, 29, has been arrested and charged with aggravated domestic stalking and property damage.

On August 16 at 11:00 a.m., Wilson was broken up with due to his child’s mother learning he was using drugs again. An hour later, Wilson reportedly called her and threatened to shoot up her brother’s house.

The following day, at around 3:00 a.m., Wilson drove from Jacksonville to his ex’s residence in Gainesville and reportedly caused about $4,000-$5,000 in damage to her vehicle. A witness reported hearing Wilson ransack the ex’s room and seeing him smash the rearview windows of her car.

Wilson left and returned to the house about 30 minutes later to find the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) on the scene, causing him to flee. While driving, Wilson reportedly called the victim and threatened to drive through her brother’s house in Lake City. The victim could track Wilson’s phone and see it heading towards Lake City. The victim reported that Wilson likely believed she was at her brother’s house when he was making the threats.

A Columbia County deputy arrived at the brother’s house and saw a vehicle matching Wilson’s pull-up and speed off after realizing police were in the area.

GPD Officer Aaron Stemen reported that Wilson drove through multiple Florida counties looking for the victim and that he was unable to be located. A warrant for Wilson’s arrest was issued and served yesterday.

Wilson is eligible for a bond of $150,000.
