Man Arrested For Domestic Battery After Argument Over Apartment Locks

On Friday, Justin Clay Fille, 26, was arrested and charged with domestic battery. 

The arrest report states Fille and the victim were arguing outside their apartment about changing the locks on the door.

The victim told police that when she walked away from Fille, he reached out his hand and scratched her neck. 

Fille told Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Anthony Haley that the victim had a mark on her neck because she strangled herself with an iPhone cord. 

Haley reported the mark was clearly a visible scratch and bright red. 

This is the second time Fille has been arrested for domestic battery.  

In June 2023, Fille was arrested after allegedly pushing the victim to the ground while she was having a panic attack. 

The victim had bruises on her arms, legs, and stomach. 

A witness reported hearing a loud banging sound coming from the apartment and the victim screaming for help. The case was dropped.

Fille has been released on a $5,000 bond.
