Man Arrested For Domestic Battery After Throwing Potato Chips at Husband Over Argument About Cat Water Bowl

Donald Thompson, 55, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery. 

Thompson and his husband were reportedly having an argument about a handmade bowl being used for their cat’s water dish when Thompson threw a bag of potato chips at the victim and then spit at and shoved him. 

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy David Visconti reported, “I observed potato chips on the floor of the office area where the altercation occurred which corroborates the victim’s story.” 

Thompson admitted to throwing the potato chips, shoving, and spitting at the victim. 

Thompson was released on recognizance under the condition he not contact the victim.
