Man Arrested For Raping Woman he Met on Hinge at Crossings at Santa Fe

Jean Jonathan Francois, 18, was arrested on Thursday and charged with sexual assault after raping a woman he met on Hinge at the Crossings at Santa Fe apartment complex.

Francois told the victim he wanted to help her start working out, and invited her to the gym at the Crossings.

Arriving at Francois’s apartment, the victim was invited to his room before they were supposed to go to the gym, when Francois raped her. 

The victim reported it the same day to the Santa Fe College Police department located across the street from the Crossings.

After Francois was arrested he admitted to the rape, telling police he did it even after clearly hearing the no.

Francois’ bond is set at $250,000.
