Tahj Deshaun Clements, 29, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with stalking, aggravated battery and resisting an officer without violence.

While the victim was working as a mailwoman, Clements called her approximately 67 times, and the victim had screenshots for proof.

Clements reportedly followed the victim while she delivered mail and waited for her outside of the post office where she was employed.

The victim was delivering mail at 23 West Apartments when Clements reportedly struck her with a cigarette ash holder.

Clements “also hit [the victim] with a cloth full of ashes that exploded all over her,” states the arrest report.

Police observed ash on the victim’s body and near the area of the altercation.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Frank Carroll reported he observed Clements call the victim while he spoke with her.

Clements was arrested at the Applebee's off Newberry Rd after running away from multiple deputies.

Clements admitted to contacting the victim several times, and admitted to throwing ashes at her but denied throwing the container.
