Man Arrested Months After Initial Sworn Complaint
David Lee Ellison Jr., 25, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with domestic battery by strangulation.
On July 31, the victim told police Ellison blocked her from entering her apartment and punched her in the face before choking her.
Ellison reportedly jumped off the 2nd-floor building and fled on foot.
The victim sustained a bloody nose and strained neck. She denied medical services.
Ellison was arrested 42 days after this incident.
Ellison has another open case where he’s being charged with committing battery against an elderly person. He was not arrested after the sworn complaint was filed in February.
Ellison has no bond pending a motion of pretrial detention by the State Attorney's Office.
