Man Charged with Assault for Attempted Pepper Spray Attack

Updated 2/22/25: Johnson was arrested again on February 18, 2025 for failing complete a mental health evaluation as a part of his pretrial release conditions. Johnson is currently being held without bond.

Adrian James Diondrae Johnson, 30, was arrested Monday night and charged with threatening violence. 

The victim told police that Johnson got mad because she wouldn’t let him take her granddaughter’s bike. Johnson pulled out a can of pepper spray and began walking towards the victim but was stopped by her husband. 

Johnson told police he “did not pull out pepper spray” and asked to speak to his attorney. 

Johnson was released on recognizance.
