Man Denies Domestic Abuse Incident Saying Victim’s Bruises Were From an “Old Injury Where He Punched Her.”
Rubin Lenard Davis, 45, was arrested on Sunday and charged with felony domestic battery with a prior conviction.
Davis reportedly slapped the victim and broke a T.V. before leaving the residence.
Davis returned after police arrived and claimed he didn’t touch the victim. Davis told police “if he wanted to hurt her he would like the last time when he broke her nose” and said the victim’s bruise was “from an old injury where he punched her in the face.”
Davis was convicted of domestic battery in 2009 and 2011.
Davis has conflicting employment reports. His arrest report states he’s a lab technician while his first appearance order states he’s worked at KFC for ten years.
Davis was released on a $5,000 bond.
