Man on Pretrial Release in Domestic Battery Case Arrested for Burglary and Domestic Battery

James Lathares Nelson, 31, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence. 

Nelson reportedly entered the victim’s house through an open window and threw a green speaker at her. 

Nelson fled the scene upon seeing police and was apprehended by a K-9. 

Nelson didn’t talk to police after he was arrested. 

Nelson’s bond is set at $13,000.

Nelson is on pretrial release for a case of domestic battery filed in July 2024.
