Gainesville Man on Probation for Battery Robs Same Victim

Eldrick Lydell Taylor, 44, was arrested last week and charged with larceny. 

Taylor entered the victim’s place of work and took her cell phone. 

Police found Taylor sleeping in a white pickup truck. Taylor said he took the victim’s phone because “he was hurt from the recent breakup.” 

Two years ago Taylor was arrested and charged with battery and property damage for breaking into the victim’s house through her window and attempting to drag her out of the window. Taylor also broke a window. Taylor was found guilty and sentenced to 2 ½ years probation, which he has now violated. 

Taylor’s bond is set at $75,000.
