Man With Active Warrant in Marion County Arrested for Domestic Battery in Gainesville

Eleiman Galindo-Guzman, 35, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery and property damage.

The arrest report states Galindo-Guzman punched the victim twice and head-butted her during an argument. The victim had a swollen area at the center of her head.

While waiting for emergency medical services, the victim flagged down Gainesville Police Department Officers Arnoldo Poveda and Tyren Stewart and told them her car had been vandalized. The car had a busted window and windshield. 

Poveda told Galindo-Guzman he was suspected of breaking the vehicle. Galindo-Guzman reportedly responded, “Yes, I did that, but I don’t want to talk about that.”

Galindo-Guzman’s bond is set at 30,000.

Galindo-Guzman has an active warrant in Marion County for battery.
