Man with Canceled Warrants in Domestic Battery Case Arrested for Domestic Battery
On February 20, Trevor Devon Coffee, 33, was charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery and felony battery by a repeat offender via sworn complaint.
Coffee had a warrant issued for his arrest the same day the sworn complaint was filed.
The warrant was reportedly issued.
Coffee’s file for this case does not contain any arrest reports.
On May 21, the State Attorney’s Office dropped Coffee’s aggravated and domestic battery charges and filed his felony battery charge.
On May 22, Coffee’s warrant was canceled.
On May 23, a summons was filed for Coffee to appear at the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office within ten days.
Coffee had another warrant issued after not appearing at his summons.
On July 3, Coffee wrote a letter to the judge saying he received notice of the summons on June 24. Coffee wrote that he went to the courthouse to get it sorted out and that a clerk confirmed the notice wasn’t received correctly.
Coffee’s second warrant was canceled on July 16.
Coffee had a court date in this case scheduled for November 20.
Coffee was arrested for another domestic battery incident just three days before his court date.
Coffee has a previous domestic battery conviction out of Levy County.
Coffee’s bond is set at $45,000.
