Man With Dismissed Sexual Battery Case Arrested for Throwing Hamburger at Woman
Jonathan Earl Everett, 50, was arrested on Friday night and charged with domestic battery.
Everett reportedly was arguing with the victim when she went into another room to separate herself. Everett followed her and reportedly threw a hamburger at her and hit her on the hand.
A witness told police she heard the victim saying she didn’t want to talk to Everett and that she heard a slapping sound.
Everett acknowledged to the police that he was being argumentative and said it was because he wanted “questions answered.” Everett admitted to throwing the hamburger but denied hitting the victim.
Everett was released on recognizance.
Everett was arrested and charged with sexual battery against a minor in 2017. Judge Phillip Pena dismissed the case due to the State Attorney’s Office not processing the charges within 175 days after his arrest.
