Man With Domestic Battery Charge Arrested After Stealing Scratch Off Tickets

Dionte Latrell Ford, 30, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with larceny and domestic battery by strangulation. 

In July, Ford initially charged via sworn complaint with aggravated stalking and domestic battery by strangulation. Ford would only be booked for the battery charge.

The report states that Ford grabbed the victim by her backpack, threatened to kill her and choked her.

Ford called the victim 6-10 times after he attacked her. The victim had bruises consistent with her account.

Ford had a warrant issued in July, but it wouldn’t be served until he was arrested for stealing scratch-off tickets. Surveillance footage caught Ford stealing the tickets from Sunoco Gas Station on Newberry Road. 

With $75,00 for the battery charge and $5,000 for the larceny charge, Ford’s bond is set at $80,000.
