On January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President Donald Trump’s inauguration day, Gainesville and Ocala activists gathered outside of city hall to protest the revocation of their rights.

Elisha Isaiah Williams, 25, was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with aggravated battery.
On Friday, Williams was accompanying his girlfriend, the witness, to a child custody exchange with the child’s father,
Erik Jeremy Magbanua, 45, was arrested last week and charged with aggravated domestic battery.
The victim told police Magbanua had been using an escrima to strike him as a punishment.
