Piesanos Cook Arrested for Threatening to Murder Woman and Strangling Her
Vernon Lamar Littles, 30, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with domestic battery by striking and domestic battery by strangulation.
Littles was initially charged via sworn complaint two weeks ago. Littles reportedly got in the victim’s face and choked her till she lost consciousness. Littles threatened to kill the victim while beating her.
Littles had fled the scene by the time Gainesville Police Department officers responded.
Littles’ first appearance order states he’s been employed as a cook at Piesanos for three months.
Littles has no bond.
In June 2024, Littles was charged with domestic battery and child abuse, but the charges were dropped.
Littles has an open case for a September 2024 charge of aggravated battery against a pregnant victim; however, a warrant was never issued. The victim reported that Littles pushed on her stomach against a wall.
In August 2023, Littles was arrested and charged with two counts of battery and one count of burglary, but the charges were dropped. The arrest report states Littles broke into the victim’s residence and attacked her.
The State Attorney’s Office intends to file a pretrial detention motion on Littles.
