Press Release: ACSO Arrests Man for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Press Release by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office:

In August of 2024, Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator, Detective J. Dawson, began an investigation into the report of child pornography that was being transmitted through the internet from a location within Alachua County.

The investigation into this incident led Det. Dawson to a residence in Gainesville, belonging to Raymond Logan. Detectives learned that Logan had transmitted various lewd images of children via the internet and he was subsequently arrested today after a search warrant was served on his home.

Logan faces charges for Transmission of Child Pornography and Use of a 2-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.

Logan has been booked into the Alachua County Jail.
