Press Release: Community Forum For a Free Palestine To Be Held in Downtown Gainesville on July 4th
Press Release From University of Florida (UF) Divestment Coalition:
This 4th of July, a crowd will gather in downtown Gainesville to have an open discussion on how to strengthen and grow the movement to stop the genocide in Gaza.  
What: Community Forum for a free Palestine, anti-US imperialism, and anti-zionism. The building of a mass movement in Alachua County, and a Film Screening of the documentary "The Night Won't End: Biden's War on Gaza"  
When: July 4th at 7PM Where: Bo Diddley Plaza,  111 E University Ave
Why: US imperialist-sponsored zionist genocide will never be tolerated by the people. The US must immediately cut their support for the ongoing genocide being perpetrated by Israel. The people will keep organizing to fight back until justice and liberation for Palestine is achieved. 
Media welcome: Interviews will be available.
Background: The Gainesville community has rallied for over 9 months in solidarity with Palestine. These protests call for Palestinian liberation and an immediate permanent ceasefire. This forum is being independently organized and is not affiliated with a specific organization or group, all who want to work towards stopping the genocide are welcome to attend and participate. The organizers state  "On a day like 4th of July (independance day) it's important to disrupt by pointing out how the US is embedded in colonization and taking other's independence and sovereignty. We are looking into a future doing everything possible to STOP the genocide and unifying the fight for a free Palestine"
