Santa Fe College Gives Notification on Spring Semester Financial Aid
Associate Director of Student Life at Santa Fe (SF) College, Doug Bagby, sent the following email to SF students on Monday:
We hope you had a restful winter break and are looking forward to a successful spring semester. Most of the federal and college system issues impacting financial aid have been resolved, and 95% of students received financial aid disbursements in the Fall.
Just before the holiday break, the Financial Aid Office discovered a new system issue affecting some students’ financial aid offers for the Spring semester. Addressing this latest issue is the college’s top priority.
On January 6th, the full financial aid and ITS teams returned to work and are collaborating with the financial aid software vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We understand how important financial aid is to you and your education, and we are committed to minimizing any disruption to your spring semester plans.
If your financial aid offer is affected, be assured that:
• This issue will not affect your long-term aid eligibility, but temporary changes may appear on your account.
• Updates on the status of a resolution will be provided regularly.
• The Financial Aid team is here to support you with any questions or concerns.
Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as the College works through this latest development. If you have immediate questions or need assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office.
This email comes after the majority of SF students experienced significant delays in receiving financial aid during the Fall semester.
