Jamal Alexander Schroeder, 25, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with felony domestic battery.

During an argument, Schroeder reportedly stood up and grabbed the victim by her throat. The victim called for help from other people in the house. Two witnesses walked into the room and saw Schroeder punching the victim in the head repeatedly.

One of the witnesses told Schroeder to leave before calling the police.

The victim had swelling to her forehead and redness on her neck.

The arrest report states Schroeder had a scratch mark on his neck and a bite mark on his hand due to the victim pulling away when he grabbed her neck.

The victim and both witnesses submitted sworn statements.

Schroeder’s bond is set at $30,000.

In 2017, Schroeder was charged with sexual battery against a minor, but the case was dropped.
