Bryan William Fox, 45, was arrested last week and charged with domestic battery.

The arrest report states Fox and the victim got into an argument over his drinking and potential cheating. As the argument escalated, the victim pulled out her phone and began recording Fox. Fox reportedly approached the victim and slapped the phone out of her hands. The victim told Fox to not touch her again, and he reportedly grabbed her arms. The victim was able to get away and call the police.

The victim had visible swelling to her wrist following the incident.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tommy White watched the victim’s video and reported that it showed Fox walking up to her and smacking the phone to the floor before capturing audio of them arguing.

Fox was released on recognizance under orders to not contact the victim.

Fox’s first appearance order states he has been employed with UF Health (Shands) for two years.
