UFPD Arrest Man for Domestic Battery at Parking Garage 10
Khambrel Ja'qwez Booth, 19, was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with robbery by sudden snatching, domestic battery by strangulation and obstructing justice.
University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) Officer Raekwon Rowe responded to Parking Garage 10 after receiving reports about the battery.
Booth reportedly went into a fit of rage after finding out the victim made her Instagram account private.
Booth reportedly picked up a pillow from their car, and the victim went to get it from him. Booth reportedly choked the victim in various holds, punched her in the face and took her phone with awareness that she intended to call the police.
The victim told police that Booth had a gun on his right hip during the attack, but officers did not locate any firearms.
Booth’s bond is set at $150,000.
